Disclaimer, referrals and limitations

The short version

This is a referral website. Work is carried out by established, licensed and insured local roofing contractors.

Blacktown Roofers is how you find and contact that service. When you call (02) 4705 5200 or submit the quote form, your enquiry goes to a roofing contractor who covers your suburb, and they carry out the inspection, the quote and the work.

What that means for you

• The quote and the contract are with the contractor who attends your property, not with this website. Read what you are given before you sign it.
• Licensing and insurance belong to the contractor. In NSW, residential building work valued at more than $5,000 must be carried out by the holder of an appropriate licence, and contracts above $20,000 generally require home building compensation cover. You are entitled to ask to see a licence, and you can check it yourself using the licence check service on the NSW Fair Trading website.
• The workmanship warranty on completed work is provided by the contractor who did the work.
• Statutory rights are not affected. Nothing on this site reduces your rights under the Home Building Act 1989 (NSW) or the Australian Consumer Law.

About the information on this site

The pages here describe common roofing faults, materials and local conditions across Blacktown City. It is general information written to help you understand what might be happening on your roof. It is not a professional assessment of your particular building, and it should not be relied on as one. Only an inspection of your actual roof can tell you what is wrong with it.

Where this site refers to NSW rules — licensing thresholds, planning exemptions for re-roofing, asbestos removal requirements — those are summarised in plain English and can change. Check the current position with NSW Fair Trading, SafeWork NSW, the NSW planning portal or Blacktown City Council before relying on it for a decision.

Insurance claims

We can inspect storm damage, document it with dated photographs and provide a written report and quote. We cannot decide, influence or guarantee the outcome of an insurance claim. That decision rests with your insurer and depends on your policy, your excess and their own assessment. Any description of claim processes on this site is general information, not insurance advice.

Pricing

No prices are published on this site, and no figure given over the phone before an inspection should be treated as a quote. A quote is the written, itemised document provided after someone has looked at your roof.

Your details

Information submitted through the quote form is used to respond to your enquiry and arrange your quote. It is not sold, and it is not added to a marketing list.

No reviews or ratings are shown

This site does not display customer reviews, star ratings or testimonials, because there are none to display yet. Rather than borrow or invent them, we have left them off. The things we do claim — free inspection, written quote, licensed and insured contractors, workmanship warranty — are claims you can test before you spend anything.
